Growing up as a child I began playing baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. I played on travel teams and competed in sports all year round. I was always staying very active daily and enjoyed physical activity, which has continued throughout my life today.
I began my first fitness training program in middle school as I began playing middle school football. It was right then when I developed my passion for fitness training as I began to see results and the physical changes over time in my body. From that point on and throughout my high school career I continued weight training while playing baseball, basketball and football.
After high school I continued working out, while attending Otterbein College, where I played wide receiver on the football team. As a football player at Otterbein, we followed a strength and conditioning program that involved the various aspects necessary for football such as strength, speed, explosion and overall conditioning.
During college I began working at a local fitness club in my home town of Pataskala, OH. Over the years I worked along side a personal trainer who recieved his masters degree in exercise science. Working under his guidance I gained important knowledge through personal training experience and educational learning to help people reach their goals. Today, I am currently doing what I am passionate about, and that is helping people meet their fitness goals and establishing a healthier lifestyle.
As a personal trainer, I apply what I have learned and what I will continue to learn to my personal life. I currently weight train 6 days a week and am training to compete in an upcoming Natural Body Building Competition. As a competitive weight lifter I know what it takes to get into the best shape possible and how to get results.

Certifications
I'm proud to say I am an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer. I recieved my certification in May of 2009. I also hold an American Red Cross CPR/AED Healthcare Provider certification as well.
Recently, I recieved my certification to utilize the TRX Suspension Trainer, developed by a Navy Seal, that I may incorporate into your training programs.
I attend many classes and seminars in order to continue to expand my knowledge on the latest research and training methods to help my clients get results to meet their goals.

In high school I played basketball, soccer, and Track. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my high school career which was filled with a lot of individual and team success, I regret how much better it could have been if I would have participated in a fitness & weight-training program.
I began my first fitness training my freshman year of college at Miami University employing Coleman's supplemented workouts and advice. I started out around 150 pounds, and was very skinny and wanted to gain some muscle. I played club basketball and was not even close to dunking a basketball. I started to gain more knowledge, corrected my diet, and noticed a great amount of lean muscle gain, (currently 185 lbs) increased my bench press 115 lbs and am now able to dunk a basktball, making me a firm believer in Coleman's training techniques.
During college my personal passion turned into a career. I began studying Kinesiology & Health focusing on Sports Studies. Upon graduation, I pursued a master's degree in Kinesiology & Health with a focus on Sports Organization. As a graduate assistant, I conducted research, and taught Biodynamics of Human Movement Lab, Individual Exercise, and Weight-Training Courses. Blending my personal passion for health & fitness I am now striving to pass my expertise onto others who have goals of leading a healthier life.

My goal is to provide you with the knowledge and direction needed through individualized program development and positive encouragement. Your individualized fitness program will be developed with your input and feedback throughout the entire fitness training process to allow you to reach your goals.
