A customized personal training program includes:
* A fitness consultation provides a chance for us to discuss and determine your goals, exercise history, medical history, and times of availability to design your exercise program.
** Upon purchase of 24 sessions or more I will give you a Unique Physique Training t-shirt.
*** We will test your percentage of current body fat to get a true understanding of your health and fitness levels as well as your flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and cardio respiratory endurance.
As your trainer, we will provide you with the necessary knowledge and tools to help you accomplish your goals, through progressively challenging workouts and constant evolving routines to ensure continuous progression to the results you are looking for.
Effective goals must be SMART goals, which means they are:
S- Specific- The goals must specifically tell what is to be accomplished and clearly stated and understood by both parties involved.
M- Measurable- The goals must be measurable so there is no question of attainment. Examples of measurement would include specific number of pounds lost or percentage decrease in body fat.
A- Attainable- The goals must not be too difficult or too easy. Goals need to be attainable, yet not to easy because easy goals do not motivate but overly difficult goals may cause discouragement.
R- Relevant- The goals must be relevant or have significant bearing on the interest, desire, and health needs of the client.
T- Time-bound- The goals must be specific with deadlines for time of completion.
Example Session:
Once you take the initiative to put your time and effort into becoming healthy or maintaining a healthy lifestyle, your first step will include an intial assessment. We will discuss your medical history, exercise history, and perform tests on your body fat percentage, postural, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance as well as cardiorespiratory endurance to establish platforms for future evaluations to show progression. Along with the fitness assessment we will discuss and layout your fitness goals. Your assessment will allow me to develop your personal fitness program based on your current fitness levels.
A typical training session is an hour long, but will depend on your current fitness levels and goals, which will be discussed upon your initial assessment. A session will usually begin with a warm up of light cardio and stretch followed by more intense cardio on a treadmill, bike, elliptical, stair-stepper, etc. Each aspect of your training session will be based on your own personal fitness levels as well as the type of training decided upon such as In-home/In-office, Community Fitness Complex or Club training.
Following your warm up and stint of cardiovascular exercise, we will typically begin your personalized exercise program. Your training will depend upon which exercises are suited to your current fitness levels to get your body the results you are looking for. As your trainer, we may incorporate weight training with machines and free weights, cables, physio balls, bands, and other equipment and training techniques that will be selected to benefit you and get you the results you want. Another piece of equipment that will be used regardless of your fitness level is the TRX Suspension Trainer. The TRX is not just applicable to the performance atheletes but for everyone who seeks a method to safely and rapidly improve their fitness. To wrap things up we will have a light cool down and stretch to help reduce any muscle soreness you may develop post exercise. Note that you should never feel extremely sore the day of or following your training session but a little soreness here and there is to be expected.
